SF-based startups Revel Systems and PopUpShopUp are showcasing their collective talents with a pop-up marketplace at Ghirardelli Square. Fifteen local retailers will be showcased, including sunglasses brand Westward Leaning and tech accessories brand Dodocase. Revel is providing iPad point-of-sale capabilities while PopUpShopUp is providing the pop-up infrastructure. "The potential for local businesses to benefit from this type of arrangement is limitless," PopUpShopUp's Steven Lucero explains. To see it in action, visit the square from 12 to 9pm on May 13 through 19, or follow the experience through social media using the hashtag "#popupsf."
