GreenStreet Cleaners has launched GreenStreets Couture, a premier service for cleaning and preserving wedding gowns. The local, green dry cleaning chain (with four locations in the city and one on the Peninsula) is the only San Francisco member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists, which requires its cleaners to abide by strict rules and regulations for servicing wedding gowns.
But it's not just about cleaning gowns after the big day. "We recommend brides get their dresses pressed just prior to the wedding, as they often can get wrinkled in transportation or delivery," Kevin Kneafsey, founder of GreenStreets Cleaners, tells us. As a part of the GreenStreets Couture service, the cleaners will pick up your dress (free of charge) from a local hotel—or from SFO—and press it with a quick turnaround time. They will also pick up the dress following the event and clean and preserve it in a cotton muslin bag before sending it home to you.
