From the folks behind Oaklandish comes a new concept store called Oakland Supply Co. With a focus on highlighting the significance of American manufacturing, the shop showcases local wares from Oakland in addition to a curated selection of products from across America. "By showcasing premium American-made goods, Oakland Supply Co. hopes to not only support the creation of more quality manufacturing jobs in the US, but also to move American consumerism towards a culture of craftsmanship and quality, rather than disposability," the brand tells us.
Find a wide variety of leather goods, jewelry and accessories, grooming and beauty supplies, tools, and kitchen and artisan food products lining the shelves throughout the store. The brands are small batch artisans and include Italic, Fabric Horse, and Handbrewed Soaps. The store is located in the historic American Bag Co. annex where the brand will continue the area's industrial tradition by supporting local manufacturing. Visit the store Wednesdays through Fridays from 12 to 7pm, Saturdays from 10am to 7pm, and Sundays from 10am to 6pm. The shop is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
