Equinox's newest San Francisco location opened yesterday inside the landmark Metro Theater on Union Street. "Along with the award winning firm AvroKo, the Equinox design team worked to preserve a number of the original Art Deco elements of the historical building, including a restored "Metro" theater marquee and two grand Anthony Heinsbergen murals," says Aaron Richter, Equinox VP of Design.

The team also added skylights and a series of windows to offer uninterrupted views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay. So head over for a tour and take a yoga or spinning class in one of the four fitness studios. Then relax after burning those cals with an organic smoothie in the members-only lounge followed by a relaxing treatment in the spa. And just like that, you'll totally get Equinox's motto: "It's not fitness, it's life."
