Amour Vert Opens in Hayes Valley With an Eco-Chic Party

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

As we promised in April they would, dear readers, the San Francisco-based ethical fashion purveyors of Amour Vert have opened their very first brick and mortar retail store in Hayes Valley, complete with locally-sourced interior decor from their neighbors Zonal Home Interiors and Propeller.

The grand opening party was last night, and local fashion mavens came out in full force to celebrate including model, philanthropist, and San Francisco native Lily Kwong (who also helped design a living wall inside the store), Alicia Lund of Cheetah is the New Black, Krystal Bick of This Time Tomorrow, Jeanne Chan of Shop Sweet Things and illustrator Chloe Fleury. Amour Vert will plant a tree for every guest who attended. Husband and wife co-founders Christoph Freshee and Linda Balti were also on hand to mingle with guests, and everyone munched on bites and beverages from The Melt, Juice Shop, Chantal Guillon, and Lorenza Wine. Needless to say, there was a photo booth. Check out all the snaps in the gallery!
