Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We visited the new West Elm at Strawberry Village in Mill Valley when it opened back in November, just in time for holiday shopping. But if you haven't yet had a chance to make a trip across the bridge to see the goods for yourself, check out our gallery for a little kick in the pants.

The 10,000-square-foot interior, which accommodates the building's giant rotunda, is the result of a collaboration between Williams-Sonoma's design team and Alameda-based MBH Architects. Highlights of the space include a living wall and a loft area with special retail displays, plus the Design Lab, where customers can customize finishes and fabrics for their furniture. The store also offers free design services.

Check it out for yourself Monday through Saturday, 10am-7pm and Sunday from 12pm-5pm.
