Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
First came House of Sakti at Crunch—so much fun. Then it was yoga with Lindsay Jean Thomson at OmPower with the SweatGuru gang—also a ton of fun (see photo above!). But if you missed out on the first two sweaty Racked SF meet ups, worry not. This month we're super excited to announce a very special Fit Club with San Francisco's own Basic Training—sign up here!
The workout regime, masterminded by exercise guru Jenn Pattee, happens outdoors, where you're free of walls, mirrors and machines. It's San Francisco's first public, 24-hour, open-air fitness center with its home base at Proxy, a collection of local businesses at 432 Octavia Street in Hayes Valley. Ms. Pattee herself will be teaching Racked readers a special Happy Hour class on Friday, June 27 from 6-7pm. Bring your running shoes and a sense of humor and get ready to run, jump, skip—and drink beer! We'll be heading to Biergarten afterwards for a well-earned beverage after getting our sweat on. We have 30 spaces available and they're sure to go fast so sign up now! See you there!
