Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

After two years in the Haight, 4x5 Gallery is closing up shop at the end of the week. The photography gallery that has supported local Bay Area artists decided to end the business when the lease came up for renewal and the numbers weren't working out. The photography supply store Glass Key Photo that currently shares the space will not close but will undergo changes once the gallery moves out.

In a farewell, 4x5 Gallery is hosting a final show and party tomorrow, June 25, from 6 to 9pm. There you'll find all stock marked down to 50% off—a steal, really, for any art aficionado. The event is open to the public and RSVPs aren't required.
