There's no place like the Bay Area for hoodie love—and not just because we actually need the outerwear layer even during the summer months. We've known it for a while: Silicon Valley and Mark Zuckerberg totally made the hooded cotton jacket a thing. And now local brand Modern Industry is taking the style to the next level with its Apex, a premium merino wool hoodie.

It's luxuriously soft, water resistant, fitted for style and comfort, and currently available at a crowdsourcing price of $95. Don't drag your feet on this locally-made hoodie because the Kickstarter campaign (it has already raised almost $70,000) ends in twelve days. But good news is that the project is already successfully funded so if you miss out now, the Apex will retail for $115 come November.
