California is third in the country—behind New York and Texas—for the most billionaire families. That's not so surprising given the vibrant tech scene in the Bay, but two local fashion clans actually lay claim to a good chunk of the change. The Fisher family (behind The Gap) and the Haas family (behind Levi's) fall at numbers 3 and 15 on the list of 19 billionaire families, and are worth $10.2 billion and $1.6 billion respectively. Not too shabby for brands that began with the humble denim jeans.
