Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

O.K., so if you prefer designers from another geographical region, go ahead and vote for them, if you must. But we thought we'd let you know that there are lots of Bay Area interior designers—both amateur and professional—who were announced today as finalists in Remodelista's 2014 Considered Design Awards.

Medium Plenty's Cow Hollow kitchen, for example, is white-on-white stunning, as is Caitlin Long's rustic and paneled (!) office cottage. See the candidates in all 10 categories here and vote for your favorites (go Bay Area!) by August 8—you can vote once each day until then. Remodelista's sister site Gardenista also has its own competition with outdoor eye candy and more voting. Winners will be announced on August 9!
