SF-based ModCloth downsized by nearly 15 percent this week, laying off around 70 workers out of its 500-plus employee workforce, TechCrunch reports. The strategic move "[represents] an effort at restructuring and consolidation," according to the brand's spokesperson. And one Twitter tipster tweets that most of the layoffs were engineers.
