Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Rare Device's second location is open to shop in the heart of Noe Valley. "My primary goal for Rare Device is to share my love of well designed and functional things with the world," store co-owner Giselle Gyalzen tells us. Find the unique, modern goodies—handpicked by Gyalzen—that have become synonymous with the original Alamo Square store at this new location. There are also a range of new products that include fanciful children's tableware from Bobo Ceramics, timeless jewelry by Endswell, and hand-dyed textiles from Happy French Gang. So stop in from 11am to 7pm on weekdays and from 10am to 6pm on weekends for a little gift shopping—whether it's for a friend or for yourself.
