After a year in the Bay Area, SoulCycle wants to learn who has more NorCal school spirit: Is it the Stanford Cardinals or the Cal Bears? The company is settling this the only way it knows how: With a school spirit theme ride.
This Tuesday and Wednesday, the indoor cycling chain's Marin and Palo Alto locations will be hosting friendly cardio competitions to determine which school's peeps are willing to show up in droves wearing their college shwag. The winners will receive bragging rights and a free class.
Stanford Cardinals, you can flock to classes today, July 29 at 12:00 p.m. in Palo Alto and Wednesday, July 30 at 12:00 p.m. in Marin. Wear something emblazoned with a Stanford logo.
Cal Bears, dig out your favorite Berkeley sweats to ride with your sleuth today, July 29 at 12:00 p.m. in Marin and Wednesday July 30 at 12:00 p.m. in Palo Alto.
The winning class at each location will be determined by the raw number of riders sporting their school pride —not by the percentage of spirited clients— and all riders in the winning class will receive a free class. You have a better chance of winning in a full class, so this would be a good time to drag a friend along for a workout.
