Wander Over Yonder to Linda Fahey's Pacifica Shop

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

For Linda Fahey, the path from artist to ceramics designer to shopkeeper was anything but direct. As she tells it, art school was a million years ago. She did art. Then she didn't do art. And following life's path of twists and turns, she eventually began working with clay. What started as a hobby led to a deal with Anthropologie. These days, Linda is still designing pieces with the boho-chic giant, while running Yonder, her studio-retail hybrid space in Pacifica.

Venture into Linda's shop at 158 Reina Del Mar, and you'll find her ceramics alongside an edited selection of goodies from Herbivore Botanicals, Copper Moon Apothecary, Caru, Elizabeth Street Cosmetics, Colleen Mauer, Molly M, Rifle, Hsu-Lee, Cartolina, Dharma Door, and —her favorites— items from small batch makers. Linda has plans to add an online shop, but, for now, Yonder is well worth the trip to Pacifica.
