Take style cues from Breakfast at Tiffany's, MDVII founder and store owner Susie Hoimes tells the Chronicle. "Wear a fabulous black cocktail dress with wonderful earrings and your hair pulled back," Hoimes explains. "Think simple dress and big pearls." And as the proprietress behind SF's definitive source of luxe costume jewelry, Hoimes knows best.
And as though she's not busy enough combing the world over for vintage jewels, Hoimes is also the co-founder of BuDhaGirl a jewelry and home decor online shop that combines aesthetic beauty with mindfulness and meditation practices. The All Weather Gold Serenity Prayer Bangles ($110) work double duty as both arm candy and a reminder to meditate. But don't expect to find the new brand in Hoimes' Russian Hill store. It's still antiques only at MDVII—and store viewings must be arranged by appointment.
