ZOMG! Drop Everything and Watch SanFranLand Right Now

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Have you heard about SanFranLand? It's a twelve-episode comedy web series that follows the misguided lives of three women living in our beautiful city. From what we've seen so far, the creators of the show nailed the critical sartorial details: There are tons of costumes, those panda-head hats that Giants fans sport on chilly evenings, and more layers of cardigans and blazers than we care to remember. Sure, we spotted a couple of cultural mistakes —like a Lyft with a mustache on the front, when everyone knows that Lyft drivers keep their mustaches inside the car now— but the number of hipsters riding bikes almost makes up for that oversight. Not ready to drop everything and binge on the show? The Bold Italic says that you can RSVP here to go to a free viewing party tonight at Monarch.
