Now that we've had an opportunity to recover from Outside Lands, we're ready to drive to Monterey for the First City Festival August 23-24. With Beck and The National headlining a lineup of more than 30 acts, Monterey proves that it knows how to throw a killer party. And if you need a retail break during this weekend's revelry, you'll find more than just t-shirts and souvenirs at the Unique USA marketplace at the festival.
Returning to First City Festival for a second year, the marketplace will showcase designers, makers, and retailers from California, including San Francisco's Amos Goldbaum and San Franpsycho. Be sure to look for fashionable standouts like rings by Katie Dean Jewelry, concert-ready kimonos from Phraseology, and laser-cut necklaces from Plastique. Last year's concertgoers raved about the marketplace, so do yourself a favor and add it to your concert schedule.
