Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We love scanning through all of the blogger picks on Piperlime —especially those from San Francisco style blog Gal Meets Glam— so we were beyond excited when the Gap-owned site unveiled a magazine-style redesign that highlights looks from the Gal herself, Julia Engel.

While reading about the relaunch, we couldn't help but notice that Engel was the only blogger mentioned in the roundup of fashion "it girls" curating looks on the new Piperlime, so we asked our fellow San Franciscan if the redesign might lead to bigger things with the company.

Julia tells us that her Piperlime partnership is managed through the RewardStyle team, and it came about because she was already a big fan of the brand. She started working with Piperlime a few months ago on the SF City Guide. The guide was successful, so they decided to continue collaborating. Much to our dismay, Julia says that she won't have a hand in designing the soon-to-be-launched Piperlime house label, but, like us, she loves what they did with the new site.
