Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Casi Stewart loves her cutoffs. Scroll through her blog, Tip and Tink, and you'll see them paired with swimsuits, heels, and sweaters. But as much as she loves mixing it up with shorts, Casi —a sales exec by day— more often finds herself alternating between super-girly dresses and androgynous separates and jumpsuits. "I've had someone tell me they didn't recognize me from one day to the next. Kind of awkward, but I took it as a compliment!"

We asked Casi about her blogging and beauty habits, and learned that this St. Louis native-turned-Cow Hollow-resident digs kimonos and keeps a makeup arsenal in her day bag.

How do you balance blogging with your day job?
"I work full-time so I have to make sure I set aside time to blog. I'm constantly seeking inspiration. My blogging time is usually when I'm curled up in bed at the end of the day, with a candle lit. It's great way for me to unwind and be creative. A lot of people relax by disconnecting, but I guess I'm the opposite!"

What makes you blog?
"Everyday routines can get a bit boring - I love to spice things up with how I dress. It's an easy way to be expressive. I've always been into writing and use it to showcase my little quirks as a compliment to my style on my blog. There are also some genuinely nice people out there on the internet who keep me going. Always down with nice people."

Who takes your photos?
"My photographer Monica Roy is amazing. Her style of shooting is right up my alley— light and airy. She's really focused and fun to work with. We've definitely gotten into a groove over time."

How would you describe your style?
"Simple with a punch! I gravitate towards neutrals but love pops of color in kimonos or fun skirts."

What was your most popular blog post?
"One of my most popular blog posts has been one of my most simple outfits. My old photographer Jacob Beemer took some really cool shots of me in front of the Bay Bridge. I'm sporting a very normcore look. I think it's an outfit that's easy to relate to!"

Tell us something about yourself we would have never guessed.
"I've been a Miley fan from day one."

You're at work, and you get an email inviting you to a fabulous, dressed-up affair. You're wearing ripped jeans and loafers and don't have time to go home and change. What's your strategy?
"Definitely dress it up with makeup. I carry around at least four lipsticks or stains in my bag at all times. I'm also a big fan of winged eyeliner. I rock a cat eye pretty much every day. For a fun event, I'd make it more dramatic. I'm also not above buying something last minute!"

How would you describe your sartorial personality and which Bay Area store best matches it?
"There's definitely a juxtaposition in the way I dress. I like simple things, as well as the unexpected. Bloomingdales is a go-to, I spend hours in there every time I go. I also love vintage and thrift shopping. Wasteland is a favorite."

If you had to sacrifice one, what would it be: lipstick, mascara or brow pencil/gel?
"Thats a hard one! Do I have to pick? I'm really into eyes so I'd have to say lipstick."

What's your favorite thing about living in San Francisco?
"San Francisco gives me a feeling that I can't really put into words. Living here just feels right. I love the people, the scenery, the art, the music. And the food... don't even get me started."

In five years I hope to be [fill in the blank] …
"Traveling the world, still blogging and happy."
