Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We told you last week that the Stanford Shopping Center is getting a facelift this year. Construction will begin in late summer/early fall, and changes will include more pedestrian areas, 20-30 new shops, 5 additional restaurants, and a chill space next to an open air fireplace. We know you're curious to see what a fireplace within a shopping center looks like, so feast your eyes on these five additional renderings of the planned redesign. We're already dreaming of fall days and pumpkin lattes next to fire when work is completed in 2016.
