Were you one of the thousands who went out to Candlestick Park last Sunday to say a final farewell? Then you may be happy to know that it wasn't goodbye forever—at least, in terms of the furniture and fixtures. A Bay Area auction firm, Heritage Global Partners, is preparing an online liquidation sale of all things Candlestick for September 10. Just about anything that can be removed from the premises will be for sale, including the scoreboard, light towers, broadcast and kitchen equipment, industrial washing machines, and boilers, according to the SF Business Times. The prices are projected to be reasonable, mainly because the winning bidder must also cover the cost of removal. And just a little insider's tip: the orange seats are already available for sale here—no removal cost required.
