UNION SQUARE— Kipling —the brightly-colored, monkey-emblazoned, Belgian bag brand— is opening its first pop-up store in Northern California next week inside Westfield Centre. To celebrate, the brand will host a party with VMV Hypoallergenics. Stop by on Friday, September 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for nibbles from Seoul on Wheels, and music from DJ Funkenstein. SOMA— Studio Botan (301 Eighth St., #202) is hosting free pole dancing lessons this weekend for both men and women. The open house starts with a pole demonstration at 4:15 on Saturday afternoon, followed by an opportunity to try your own pole moves in Pole 101 at 4:30. Spots are first come, first served.
