Deliv scored another major retail victory this week: The Palo Alto-based service will be the exclusive delivery provider for Macy's and Bloomingdale's soon-to-launch same-day delivery option. The department stores announced yesterday they would begin piloting same-day delivery for online purchases this fall, but only a few cities nationwide will be included in the beta run. Macy's will offer same-day delivery to customers in eight major U.S. markets, including San Francisco and San Jose, while Bloomingdale's trial will be limited to four markets, including —you guessed it— SF and SJ. The department store news comes on the heels of last week's report that Deliv will be dropping off same-day Foot Locker orders in the two cities. It pays to live near Deliv headquarters, right?
