The Bay Area's very first Stella McCartney boutique will not join its fellow luxe brands in Union Square, but at the Stanford Shopping Center later this year. Signs at the mall indicate that Stella will move into an empty storefront formerly occupied by Kate Spade, (which has moved a few storefronts over to a larger space). You can currently find Stella McCartney collections at the mall's Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, but it's likely that there will be a more extensive selection at the eponymous store—which will hopefully include the obscure lingerie line and more fun offerings from the collaboration with Adidas. There's no further word from the brand about the exact opening date, but we're keeping an eye on the store's development and will report back with more details.
