Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Move Loot has moved into Reliquary's old storefront in Hayes Valley, but just for a few months. The online home goods consignment store startup says it's only there through December as a pop-up. The physical location —open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends— will hopefully bring more awareness to Move Loot's extensive stock and services.
Founder Bill Bobbitt tells ABC 7 News that people moving into and out of SF can use the Move Loot to fully furnish or empty their apartments. "We do something that almost no furniture retailer can provide," Bobbitt explains. "We do next day pick up for sellers and next day delivery for buyers."
If you're looking for that perfect couch or bed (at a pre-loved price), plan a visit into the Octavia Street location to browse the items on offer. If you fall for something, it can be in your home pronto. Bonus: Save 20 percent on everything in store and online today and tomorrow with the code FALL20 at checkout.
