After more than three apparel-filled years, the ladies of Two Birds are shaking things up by entering the shoe biz. Susanna Taylor and Audrey Yang have converted the upstairs space of their Noe Valley boutique into a shoe salon, complete with stock from Vince, Joie, Dolce Vita, Splendid and SF-fave Freda Salvador.

Audrey tells us that the addition plays to Susanna's strengths as former shoe buyer, but it's not the first time footwear has entered the shop, "We... would bring a couple pairs here and there, and our customers have always asked us when we would bring in more. We really love that now we are truly a one stop shop."

As much as we would love to see a second Two Birds —Four Birds?— Audrey and Susanna are content with one shop for now. The pair briefly looked around Noe for a new space, but the neighborhood was too pricey for their budget. "We are just super lucky to have the space to be able to expand right where we are," Audrey says, but hedges that they aren't opposed to additional locations. "I don't want to ever say never. If something comes our way that seems right, we aren't going to close the door on it!"

If you want to pester the pair about expanding their empire, do it over shoe shopping this weekend. The shoe salon is kicking off with a special promotion this Friday through Sunday: Take 15 percent off your clothing and accessories when you buy a pair of shoes.
