UNION SQUARE— Patricia Field and David Dalrymple will be at Britex Fabrics (146 Geary Street) on Friday, October 3, for a meet and greet reception from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Learn how the costume designers from Sex and the City got started and what it was like dressing Meryl Streep for the Devil Wears Prada. Also meet Bay Area Project Runway designers Richard Hallmarq and Emily Payne, who will be talking about their own experiences as rising designers. RSVP here. [Racked Inbox]

HAYES VALLEY— Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, Kipper Clothiers —a store that specializes in custom suits and shirts for the Bay Area LGBT community— is open for business in Hayes Valley. Join owners Kyle Moshrefi and Erin Berg on Saturday October 4th, from 6 to 9 p.m. for a grand opening party at the shop (78 Gough Street). The party will include chamomile old fashioneds by Two Sisters Bar & Books, appetizers, a photobooth, and 20 percent off any accessory purchased during the event with proof that you "like" the store on their Facebook page.
