Hitting a yoga class on your way to or from work seems like a no-brainer, but hauling your yoga mat to the office gets old. And bulky. YOGO, a Marin startup, has a less cumbersome solution: It's a compact yoga mat that can fold into the size of a newspaper. At 2.4 pounds, the YOGO mat is lighter than the standard Lululemon mat —a 5 mm mat weighs 5.8 pounds and a 3 mm weighs 3.96 pounds— but the travel snaps and straps make it slightly heavier than the comparable 1.5 mm Lulu un-mat (which weights 1.96 pounds). In addition to touting "the best travel mat ever made," YOGO brags that its mat is a cleaner alternative: Because the mat folds instead of rolling, the top never touches the bottom. And if you want to rinse your mat in your shower? Just hang it to dry by those integrated straps.
