It's Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend— a time to honor the human rights activist and the Civil Rights Movement. It's also the time when retailers are making a final push to clear out 2014 merchandise. Between a trip to the movies to watch Selma and commemorative activities throughout the holiday, don't forget to shop the local sales. We've rounded up a few of the best, and we'll add more as we hear of them.

Amour Vert: The Hayes Valley boutique is hosting a winter clearance sale with an extra 30% off all sale items from now through Wednesday, January 21.

Restoration Hardware: Round two of the big warehouse sale is happening this weekend, January 16 through January 19. Sale hours are from 10 am to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday at 4045 Horton Street in Emeryville.
