Come March 2015, the Castro will gain another gym to help locals hit their fitness goals in the new year. Flagship Crossfit is expanding into a second location at 160 Church Street in the long-vacant Blockbuster space. (That means Spirit Halloween will have to find a new home come fall.) The new space appears largely unchanged since those video rental days, Hoodline reports. But the gym's Facebook post reveals that —come opening day— the 8,000-square-foot space with 20-foot ceilings will be boast floor to ceiling windows on two sides, all top competition gear, showers, parking, and other amenities. Gym memberships begin at $300 per month (with discounts for advance payment options). If you're new to this particular workout concept, try taking the intro series at Flagship Crossfit's FiDi location before committing.
