Jins is sharing a few more details about that incoming Union Square store. Last month, we reported that the Japanese eyewear brand would be coming to San Francisco in 2015. Now, a rep for the brand tells Racked exclusively that the Tokyo-based line will bring its extensive range of glasses —over 1200 styles of frames— to the former H&M Men's space at 151 Powell in the spring. The store will have almost 5,000 square feet of shopping space —making it one of the largest eyewear retailers in the city— and the company says shoppers can receive their glasses (with prescription lenses) in about 30 minutes. Jins is already the largest eyewear seller in Japan; it looks like the brand is campaigning for a similar level of success in the U.S.
