For $74, the "best leggings ever" could be yours. Local knitwear manufacturer San Francisco City Lights believes that it has cracked the stretch-pant code, shaping a proprietary modal "butterknit" into the perfect leggings.The brand claims the pants are ideal for everything from yoga to strolling around town, and promises that the leggings won't pill. It's even offering a three-year guarantee against shrinking and fading.

The company is currently asking Kickstarter backers to collectively pony up $14,000 to bring the line to life. If you contribute at least $74 to the project, you'll get your very own pair in black, charcoal, or platinum. With 20 days to go, City Lights still needs to raise over $12,000 to make the leggings happen. If you think these leggings could be your spirit pants, spread the word.
