Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Selfies and dog portraits shouldn't just live on your phone forever. Remember the good, old days of passing around actual snapshots rather than passing around your phone? Those days are back thanks to the newly-opened Polaroid Fotobar at Westfield San Francisco Centre. The 300-square-foot micro-store, located on the second level, enables you to print from your phone, Facebook, or Instagram to create physical pieces of art to decorate your home or send to your family and friends. Think of it as the return of the mall photobooth—except with better lighting and none of the cheese. (Unless, of course, that's what you actually want.) Visiting to the store is the perfect stop for last-minute gifts that are still personalized and thoughtful. File this one away for those upcoming, sentimental moments in 2015.
