On the heels of the hectic holiday season, Macy's has a busy schedule in 2015. First up, the retail giant is closing 14 of its 790 stores, including the Cupertino location at Vallco mall. Final clearance sales will begin this Monday, January 12th, and will run for 8 to 12 weeks, Mercury News reports. But it's not just out with the old for the company. Macy's —which also owns Bloomingdale's— will add a new Bloomie's at the Westfield Valley Fair mall in Santa Clara. The 150,000-square foot space is expected to open in fall 2017. It will be the third Bloomingdale's in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley area.
