We really hate goodbyes. Especially when we're saying so long to one of our favorite shopping haunts, and a perennial member of our Top 38. Sometimes, though, you just have to put on your Big Girl jeans and do the right thing.

OK, here goes... goodbye, La Boutique. Goodbye, storeowner Carole Harari. After six years as our go-to spot for très chic Swiss fashions (and super-cool parties), you'll be sorely missed.

The shop closed earlier this month. No word yet on what, or who, will be moving into the beautiful gallery-like space at 414 Jackson Street, in Jackson Square.
