The SF Fall Antiques Show Chimes in This Morn

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The champs was flowing last night at the Opening Night Preview Gala, but now the old-time fun begins in earnest: From today through Sunday, October 25th, must-see antiques, jewelry and art from dealers around the planet will be on display at the 34th Annual San Francisco Fall Antiques Show.

Fort Mason's Festival Pavilion plays host for the event, whose theme is Time After Time: Bringing the Past Present. And ticking right along with this year's focus on "the lasting quality of beautiful pieces, the time that goes into creating a work of art, and the vast timespan the objects in the show encompass" is a Philip Bewley-curated loan exhibition showcasing an array of draw-dropping timepieces that tell the story of how humans have kept time through the ages. (Watch lovers: prepare to drool. Get a tease in the gallery above.)

Even if your taste runs, how shall we say?, more modern, a whirl through this show is sure to get your interior-design juices flowing.

General admission tix for the show can be purchased at the door for $20 (or $15 online), and include all of the day's complimentary programming and a Show Catalogue. All proceeds from the show benefit Enterprise for High School Students, The SF non-profit that empowers Bay Area high-school-ers to develop skills for college and their future careers.

Exhibition hours are: 10:30am to 7pm Thursday to Saturday; noon to 5pm on Sunday, October 25th. Get more details on the event.
