Sugar High Ahead: Margherita Missoni's Latest Kids' Collection Is the Sweetest

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Even the Grinchiest of hearts will thaw from the angelic faces and equally adorable clothes featured in Margherita's latest lookbook. ICYMI, the Milan-born Magherita Missoni left her famous family's biz less than a year ago to launch her own fashion bambino—bringing her baby count to three, including sons Otto and Augusto with husband Eugenio Amos.

Margherita describes her clothes as joyful and creative: "The heart of the collection is in the mixing of colors, textures, prints and fabrics." This certainly comes through loud and clear in the circus-themed collection, which shows off the clothing's playful and practical sides with aplomb.

"Everything is intended for mixing and matching so children can fashion their own outfits and express their individuality," she adds. (Hmm, wonder if that precious pink cardi comes in size XL times 100?)

Margherita's current favorites include the faux-fur vest with colorful circus-y lining and the Strong Man and nautical-inspired mélange tees. "They're so soft and cozy, and Otto loves them," she says.

The collection is produced in Southern California and, even better, the price points are quite reasonable (less-than-$20-for-a-tee reasonable). Pick up your own sweet pieces online or at Nordstrom, Westfield San Francisco Centre.

Arrivederci.
