Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

In a surprising move, Fillmore & 5th has closed its Union Street store— its last remaining location in San Francisco. There's no official statement as to why, but the company has removed the location from its website. The company's communications contact tells Racked that there was a conscious decision to not renew the lease once it ended. "Union Street has been slow," Fillmore & 5th's spokesperson states. "We are looking for another San Francisco location."

In the mean time, hope is not completely lost for the Bay Area to find secondhand Chanel, Louis Vuitton, YSL, and other luxe brands; the Palo Alto location in Town & Country Village remains open for business. There's also Crossroads Trading, a sister brand to Fillmore & 5th that has four locations in the city— though its stock is curated for a younger demographic). But if you find yourself traveling and jonesing for a good shopping win, visit the five other Fillmore & 5th stores in Los Angeles, NYC, and Orange County. You can even keep an eye on the chain's Instagram feed (updated daily) to do your shopping from the comfort of your couch.
