Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
For 14 years, 7x7 has been mailing local lifestyle pieces, bucket lists, and fashion editorials straight to your home. Now, the mag's print era is coming to a close. SFGate reports that the March installment will be the publication's last print issue. "Just as our editorial mission has always been to report on and celebrate what's new and innovative, we must also look forward at the business level. Print is our legacy and has been crucial to building the 7x7 brand. But our future is online," Chloe Harris Hennen, the magazine's president and editor in chief, explains.
Harris Hennen says that 7x7 will continue to publish a few print issues each year, but most of the staff's attention will be focused on updating and redesigning the magazine's website and mobile platform in an effort to double the digital audience. Keep your fingers crossed that their great fashion editorial work continues. The magazine's March 2010 CGI spread with Maggie Rizer is still one of the most stunning fashion stories to come out of our fare city.
