Right on schedule, Target has announced that two TargetExpress outposts will open in SF and in Berkeley on March 4th. The new, small format stores will carry a limited assortment of items, custom tailored for the observed needs of the two regions.

At approximately 20,000 square feet each, these locations are designed for the quick-trip shopping outing. (For the more "full shopping cart" type of trip, you'll still want to head to Target or CityTarget.) The mini-stores are meant to be a convenient option for a last-minute errand before hopping on BART for the ride home after work, but we'll scope the scene at the stores' previews to let you know if the beauty and clothing sections warrant more in-depth trips.
