In all honesty, I don't use the Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo for its intended use. I bought it on a whim at City Target for just under $6 while on a big coconut oil kick last month. (It's also available at drugstores). I've always loved the pure form of the natural oil for my skin and my hair—applied directly after showers—so I figured the shampoo version would provide similar results. Perhaps it hydrates a little too well because my hair can feel a little heavy after regular use.

Not wanting to give up so easily on the product, I gave it another chance—as a shaving cream substitute. It may sound off the wall, but this is hands down my favorite way to protect against razor burn for the smoothest, softest shave, ever. A little goes a long way, so it's actually more cost effective than actual shaving cream. Best of all, those of you with dry hair and scalps can cut down on shower clutter by using this as both a shampoo and a shaving cream.
