After eleven years in its original location, Cove —the beloved Lower Haight plant and gift shop— has made the move across the street to 683 Haight Street. Owner Jean Marx tells Hoodline last Saturday was the soft opening at the new location, and operations should be "in full swing" by February 14th. The move, however, cost more than Marx anticipated, so she's launched a GoFundMe campaign to help with the unexpected expenses. If you like plants and you have a black thumb, you might consider a contribution. The fundraising page offers, "For a donation of $100 or more, you'll be entitled to one 4" plant per month for 5 years." Depending on how confident you feel about your current relationship, you could even rebrand this as a plant-of-the-month club for your sweetheart for Valentine's Day.
