San Francisco maker Joshu+Vela has opened its Tradeshop on 16th Street, near Mission. The custom workspace, which doubles as a retail store, provides a location for customers to visit and view the design and manufacturing process before picking out new canvas or leather bags. "We want our customers to come into the Tradeshop and see not only who is behind each bag or wallet, but also how every piece is produced," the brand reveals on its blog.
Each bag is started and finished inside the Mission shop. Because the brand works in small batches, it's constantly experimenting with new design ideas, like this patent leather envelope pouch. Visit soon to watch all the bag-making magic happen, then be sure to pick up one of these babies.
