Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The last time we checked on San Francisco's trending searches on Polyvore, the news was downright depressing— largely because locals were fixated on gingham shirts and jellies. But the Mountain View-based fashion community has a more optimistic update on the latest queries within our city.

The most recent data from the company shows that the top trends in San Francisco right now are tulle skirts, Chelsea boots, and high-waisted bikinis. Dresses are huge  —thanks to the warm weather— and users are looking for a variety of options: denim, two-piece, red, floral, gold sequins, and sequined dresses, generally. To top it off, shoppers want a classic camel coat for spring.

In the beauty department, Bay Area searchers are all about matte and shimmer. (Yes, we know those are contradictions.) In the shine category, Polyvore tells Racked that the top beauty product searches in San Francisco recently were iridescent nail polish (#1), gold shimmer eye shadow (#4), and black glitter nail polish (#9). In the matte category, people want matte cream eye shadow (#2), matte black lipstick (#6), and matte nail polish (#7). Rounding out the list are grey eye shadow, rose and red lipsticks, and travel makeup brushes.

As for the next big trend on Polyvore, it could be plus-size fashion. The company announced today that it has added a new plus category to the site to make it easier to shop and find style inspiration.
