The New Lookbook from Vermeulen & Co. Delivers a Message in a Bottle

Take a sneak peek at the newly-launched styles from this East Bay brand

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Winter skipped San Francisco, and spring is upon us. Oakland-based Vermeulen & Co. is ready to welcome the season with the launch of its Message in a Bottle collection. The versatile and casually elegant pieces— tops, trousers, a skirt, a dress, and a coat—will be released weekly starting March 3rd.

The entire collection says that you can simultaneously dress well and comfortably, and the trousers feature generous seams that can be easily altered. Keep tabs on the site to find your next slow fashion, Oakland-made item. You just may find yourself twinning with Oakland's new Mayor, and brand supporter, Libby Schaaf.
