Will Leather Goods —a Eugene, Ore. brand known for hand-crafted leather bags and accessories— is making itself at home in San Francisco. The company announced this week that it will open a 2,000 square foot "retail experience shop" at 568 Hayes Street in Hayes Valley. The store is scheduled to open on July 1st. (But we all know that stores rarely open on time in the city.)
According to a press release, the store will include signature Oregonian elements like Douglas fir walls, live edge wood shelving and fixtures, and intermixed vintage finds. When it opens, the Hayes Valley shop will showcase the brand's full range of products,
Will Leather Goods currently runs and operates a flagship store in Venice Beach, three stores in Portland, a shop in New York and a hometown store in Eugene, Ore. So yes, it's technically a chain, but it's still small enough to fly under the formula retail radar— and snag prime Hayes Valley real estate.
