Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Home décor-ists, ready your tissues: Lotus Bleu, the longtime Hayes Valley design boutique, is shuttering its stylin' orange doors for good at the end of June. Yes, another victim of a ridiculously sky-high rent increase. (No word yet on the new tenant.)
But, alas, there's some good news: The award-winning interior design side of the business, led by owner Jeannie Fraise, will continue in a new space (stay tuned for details) and with expanded à la carte services. "We will continue to bring our fresh, modern, and playful aesthetic to your home," says Fraise.
Sure, goodbyes stink, but the Thank You Sale aims to makes things a little brighter (and chicer). From now through June, the store's entire inventory is 30% to 50% off. In other words, you may want to hightail it over to Hayes Street and load up on, well, everything.
