Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

After five years in its current Presidio Heights home (340 Presidio Avenue), Betty Lin is packing up shop for larger pastures. Even though there's a zip-code change involved (94115 to 94118), the chic purveyor of women's clothing and accessories is moving just around the corner— much to the relief of loyal, neighborhood customers. The boutique's new address is 3625 Sacramento Street, which is situated across the street from Spruce. (God knows that can't be bad for foot traffic.)

The official opening date is May 31st.  Shoppers will be in for the same sharply edited roster of casual-luxe designers like Suno, Stella McCartney, and Band of Outsiders. There will just be more to love—and try on, thanks to the expanded square footage. We can't wait to check out the new space. Word is there's a showstopping "fantasy" wall by local decorative artist Caroline Lizarraga that's not to be missed.
