Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Chances are pretty good that right about now tons of dads are texting or Minecraft-ing away on a shiny new iPhone or PlayStation 4. eBay surely thinks so, as its own research shows that more than $1.6 billion is spent on tech gadgets for Father's Day. In other words, there are mucho old devices that need a new home.

So...if you have a functioning old iPad, cell, video game, or other popular electronics gathering dust bunnies, eBay cordially invites you to bring them into Fellow Barber's Mission and Mid-Market locations on Saturday (from 9am to 6pm) for a free shave or trim. All you have to do is list the item on eBay—do it yourself or use eBay valet, which does all the work for you.

Let's get this straight: You get a complimentary grooming at one of SF's coolest barbershops and the chance to make some extra cash? Yeppers. And, according to eBay, a cell phone is sold every four seconds and an iPad is sold every 13 seconds on its website.

Ladies, what can we say? Perhaps eBay has something cool planned for us next Mother's Day.

Fellow Barber is located at 696 Valencia Street and 973 Market Street.
